Last shots of Titicaca at Peruvian side - Turquoise water with reflection
On our way back, I climbed to the roof deck of the boat to enjoy the sunset
After the excursion, the tour guide arranged us to board on a van for hotel transfer. There was not sufficient seats on the van for all of us and I just abandoned the hotel transfer. Anyway, I could enjoy a short walk for my way back.
I had no idea on what to take for dinner. Well, there were a few polloteria (chicken shops). I entered one run by a family. The father put chicken by rows into the oven to grill, and came to me to ask which part of the chicken I would like, by showing his arms and legs, ha!
A set served with chicken soup, a plate of chicken leg with french fries and salad vegetables for just 10 SOL (~24 HKD).
It is just a small town but I could get close to local people and their daily life. I managed to pass through the market area that was mentioned by the couple in Puerto Maldonado, full of grocery, butcher and fruit stalls. I bought some fruits along and when I got back to the hostel, rain started to pour.
