Flight to Newark

I insisted to stay awake in the previous night, slept for only few hours in order to get through jet-lag more easily.  Still managed to watch a few movies on flights.

Travel in New York

It's convenient to travel in a modern city.  Everything could be searched and reserved on-line.  To avoid any hiccup to get to my reserved hotel, I took the air-bus Super Shuttle.

I chose to stay at Manhattan, near the Central Park, with tranquil atmosphere.  It's my plan to visit the American Museum of Natural History if I could reach the city by 4:00 p.m. but it's really time consuming to get through immigration and customs, and wait for the shuttle.

The first Baptist Church

A landmark near the 79th Street station for Subway Line 1 & 2.  The subway was built in early 19th Century and is quite old-styled.  Even if you need to change direction in the same line, you need to get off at the station, go up to the ground level, cross the street to the other side.  When I got to the crossroad, I was puzzled how to get into the right direction and line.

I spent half an hour wandering inside DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse (opposite side of the street). There was discount sales and I needed to hold back myself not to buy pairs of shoes and bring them along the whole trip!

Hayden Planetarium
