The bus got to border and we needed to get off for the passport stamp. Two African guys could not got the permit and they needed to get back. And the bus driver hit and broke the chain and this caused few more minutes delay before we could got back onto the bus.
We arrived at Puno at ~10:30 and were led to the counter to get ticket exchange to Arequipa. This time, I traveled with my seat at the upper floor. I was really exhausted and got to sleep after settled. When I opened my eyes again, I found only myself was left on the bus. I quickly bounced up and met a staff getting to the upper floor to check if any person left! Really embarrassing.
It was 4:30am, I dared not to get out from the station before sunrise. Wait until 6:00am, I got out and found a notice board showing recommended charge to different part of the city and it was easy to get a taxi ride with fair deal.
When reaching Hostal Mercanderas, I could get a bed and could join a 3-day tour to Colca Canyon. The hostel was really nice to allow me to get the bed to sleep for a few hours and even have breakfast.
At ~9:00 am, there was load noise from the street. I thought it was strike again but discovered that it was parade from some uniform teams.
