Woke up early in the morning, packed up all our stuff and got a quick breakfast before going to rodoviario for the bus at 8:00 am. It would be a 5 hour ride.
Familiar wilderness along the way
Buses and cars queued up for border control
It is very strict to cross the border to enter Chile, no diary products, crops, or a long list of forbidden products could be brought in. By accident, I forgot to put my sunflower seeds (brought in Argentine side) into my luggage box and together I brought with my breakfast with me at my backpack. When getting off the bus, I intentionally left them at the compartment, covered by my fleece jacket. What a wise decision! They sent a patrol dog to check our luggage compartments but not on the bus. That's why I could go smuggling the forbidden items.
The lovely dog went for patrol. It took us few minutes to wait for the owner to claim a suspected item. A man on my bus at last was "identified" to bring in a bag of snacks and needed to apologize in front of public for bringing that and delaying our travel.
