I desperately wanted to watch the starry sky in the dark during the trek. However in the previous 2 nights, I was either exhausted and could not wake up in the night, or discouraged by the inclement weather. This night, I woke up at around 3:00 a.m. but found the sky was not fully dark and only a few stars could be seen. The strong winds would not allow me neither to take a sharp picture. : (
As I would cut short my trek to take an early ferry back this day, I got up very early this morning and tried to have things happened at an earlier time.
The sun rose at the other side of the lake.
I went to have breakfast at 7:00 and said goodbye to my teammates, then started my trek at 7:45
A rainbow over Laguna Los Platos
I aimed to go further to reach the Lake Grey Lookout but finally dropped the idea as it seemed still a long way to go.
Went back to the lake, I stayed a while before returned my way
Views of a complete rainbow
Last shot at the lake and said goodbye to the picturesque view. Here I met my teammates. They would go all the way the glacier and got back to Puerto Natales at around 10:00 p.m.
On my way getting down, my knees sore and I needed to slow down a little. The wind blew hard from my back to push me forward. It irritated me as mt legs hurt when stepping forward in fast pace. I then commanded it stop pushing!
