Flying to Punta Arenas 17-18 Nov 2018

Flight arrangement

LA91      19:15  SCL  -->  PUQ 22:36  [3.3 hrs]

With the first leg deferred, I met three other HK peoples travelling together to Santiago.  We could chat and exchange our travel experience during transfer, and face our baggage delay.

Time was killed fast and I could manage the longest flight to Toronto, sleeping quite a lot, even seated in a fully packed plane.  It is the last flight to Santiago that bothered me with jet lag jumped into scene.  I was tired but could not sleep.  It's good to have a vacant seat next to me giving me more space.  On contrary, the guy sitting at aisle slept all the way and I needed to wake him up for letting me out for toilet.

Flight to Punta Arenas

It's learnt that the view from Puerto Montt to Punta Arenas is beautiful (one can get a memorable fly-by view of Torres del Paine).  I reserved a window seat trying to have a good view.  With my flights cancelled and moved to 19:15, I could not secure a window seat.  The sky got dark at around 20:30 and there's little change to get the view.

Once landed, we needed to get off the plane and entered the terminal on foot without any coverage.  With strong wind chill, we all shivered and rushed towards the terminal.  While I had no baggage to collect, I was among the first few passengers to approach the arriving hall.  Soon I spot the driver with my name written on a sign in front of him.  With brief greeting, I followed him to his taxi and arrived at Innata Casa Hostal (https://www.innatapatagonia.com/en/) in half an hour.
