After the Patgonia visit, I got back to Puerto Natales on 27 Nov. at 13:00. As I would fly back to Santiago at midnight, I had a few hours to spend in this town. First of all, I deposited my luggage at Rodoviario.
I would like to visit the town in details, in such a sunny day. This is the main street, Avenida Santiago Bueras, outside the Rodoviario. I followed the street towards the sea.
Fancy flowers at the front yard of each house
Finally I reached the waterfront, besides the shipyard. Muelle Historico, parked with old boats.
A beautiful promenade (Ave. Pedro Montt) along the waterfront for strolling
There were information boards along showing the birds, vegetation and the Fiordo Ultima Esperanza
There was as skating park
Indigo dock
Meet a young couple from HK (in the middle of the dock)
Flock of swans on water with snow-capped mountains at the back
Monumento de la Mano (Monument of the hand) palm up with fingers pointing upwards
Monumento de la Milodon
Milodón should be an extinct mammal found in Patagonia. There was Cueva del Milodón Natural Monument, a Natural Monument, located 24 km (15 mi) northwest of Puerto Natales
After a walk along the waterfront, I got back to the city centre and found that there was a parent party / parade in the Plaza de Armas Arturo Prat
It was already 4:30 pm and I was starving (hardly had any food after breakfast). No more mood to pay any visit but tried to find something to eat. There was Mesita Grande just near to Plaza de Armas. A cosy place to take a rest, and with tasty pizza and lemonade.
After a full lunch + early dinner, I got back to the bus station, waiting for boarding on the bus at 19:00 pm heading to the airport. I was so exhausted that I nearly fell asleep as soon as being seated at the front row of the bus, awoken by the conductor when the bus arrived at the airport. I could spend some time shopping around before boarding on the plane at midnight.
