Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary 9.6.2017

One of the best-preserved, most pristine expanses of rainforest in the Americas, Belize's most important reserve is a refuge for jaguars, ocelots, and many species of birds.

Early mornings are the best time for wildlife watching, as most animals seek shelter in the heat of the day.  I was glad to have my knowledgeable guide showed me many beautiful birds and elusive wildlife.

So glad that I could capture the bird's picture with my mobile phone, without DSLR nor telephoto zoom lens as they were "near" and "appealing".

It was the first time I become a serious bird watcher.  My guide brought 3 thick books to show me the name and pciture of each bird that we'd met and elaborate their features.  That helped me appreciate God's creation.
