There are 4 types of Animal : Llama, Alpca, Vicuña and Guanaco (former 2 are domesticated, Vicuña is the most expensive one)

Challenge of Colca Canyon Trek 1 Jun 2015

An unforgettable trek in Colca Canyon

We woke up at 4:30 and started off at 4:45, started our trek up the canyon.  Well up high in attitude over 3000m, I felt breathless after every few steps and I needed to stop, take deep breathes and continued.  Really hard for me.  There was once a donkey without carrying any body passed by and the owner asked if I needed a ride (at 60 SOL).  I refused but regretted several times before reaching the top.

Before sunrise, I wore gloves, heavy jacket, woolen cap and headlight.  After several stops, I put off all these burdens.
